अर्चायामेव हरये पूजां यः श्रद्धयेहते । न तद्भक्तेषु चान्येषु स भक्तः प्राकृतः स्मृतः ।। ११-२-४७ ।।

sanskrit

A devotee who faithfully engages in the worship of the Deity in the temple but does not behave properly toward other devotees or people in general is called a prākṛta-bhakta, a materialistic devotee, and is considered to be in the lowest position. ।। 11-2-47 ।।

english translation

एक भक्त जो ईमानदारी से मंदिर में देवता की पूजा में संलग्न रहता है, लेकिन अन्य भक्तों या सामान्य लोगों के प्रति उचित व्यवहार नहीं करता है, उसे प्राकृत-भक्त, भौतिकवादी भक्त कहा जाता है, और उसे सबसे निचले स्थान पर माना जाता है। ।। ११-२-४७ ।।
