इमे जनपदाः स्वृद्धाः सुपक्वौषधिवीरुधः । वनाद्रिनद्युदन्वन्तो ह्येधन्ते तव वीक्षितैः ।। १-८-४० ।।

sanskrit

All these cities and villages are flourishing in all respects because the herbs and grains are in abundance, the trees are full of fruits, the rivers are flowing, the hills are full of minerals and the oceans full of wealth. And this is all due to Your glancing over them. ।। 1-8-40 ।।

english translation

ये सारे नगर तथा ग्राम सब प्रकार से समृद्ध हो रहे हैं, क्योंकि जड़ी-बूटियों तथा अन्नों की प्रचुरता है, वृक्ष फलों से लदे हैं, नदियाँ बह रही हैं, पर्वत खनिजों से तथा समुद्र सम्पदा से भरे पड़े हैं। और यह सब उन पर आपकी कृपा-दृष्टि पडऩे से ही हुआ है। ।। १-८-४० ।।
