अपरे वसुदेवस्य देवक्यां याचितोऽभ्यगात् । अजस्त्वमस्य क्षेमाय वधाय च सुरद्विषाम् ॥ १-८-३३ ॥
Others say that since both Vasudeva and Devakī prayed for You, You have taken Your birth as their son. Undoubtedly You are unborn, yet You take Your birth for their welfare and to kill those who are envious of the demigods. ॥ 1-8-33 ॥
english translation
अन्य लोग कहते हैं कि चूँकि वसुदेव तथा देवकी दोनों ने आपके लिए प्रार्थना की थी, अतएव आप उनके पुत्र-रूप में जन्मे हैं। निस्सन्देह, आप अजन्मा हैं, फिर भी आप देवताओं का कल्याण करने तथा उनसे ईर्ष्या करनेवाले असुरों को मारने के लिए जन्म स्वीकार करते हैं। ॥ १-८-३३ ॥
