सास्वतन्त्रा न कल्पाऽऽसीद्योगक्षेमं ममेच्छती । ईशस्य हि वशे लोको योषा दारुमयी यथा ।। १-६-७ ।।

sanskrit

She wanted to look after my maintenance properly, but because she was not independent, she was not able to do anything for me. The world is under the full control of the Supreme Lord; therefore everyone is like a wooden doll in the hands of a puppet master. ।। 1-6-7 ।।

english translation

वह मेरा लालन-पालन अच्छी तरह करना चाहती थी, लेकिन पराश्रित होने के कारण वह मेरे लिए कुछ भी नहीं कर पाती थी। यह संसार परमेश्वर के पूर्ण नियन्त्रण में है, अतएव प्रत्येक व्यक्ति कठपुतली नचाने वाले के हाथ में किसी काठ की गुडिय़ा के समान है। ।। १-६-७ ।।
