यथा धर्मादयश्चार्था मुनिवर्यानुकीर्तिताः । नतथावासुदेवस्य महिमाह्यनुवर्णितः ।। १-५-९ ।।

sanskrit

Although, great sage, you have very broadly described the four principles beginning with religious performances, you have not described the glories of the Supreme Personality, Vāsudeva. ।। 1-5-9 ।।

english translation

हे महामुनि, यद्यपि आपने धार्मिक कृत्य इत्यादि चार पुरुषार्थों का विस्तार से वर्णन किया है, किन्तु आपने भगवान् वासुदेव की महिमा का वर्णन नहीं किया है। ।। १-५-९ ।।

yathA dharmAdayazcArthA munivaryAnukIrtitAH | natathAvAsudevasya mahimAhyanuvarNitaH || 1-5-9 ||
