यदत्र क्रियते कर्म भगवत्परितोषणम् । ज्ञानं यत्तदधीनं हि भक्तियोगसमन्वितम् ॥ १-५-३५ ॥
Whatever work is done here in this life for the satisfaction of the mission of the Lord is called bhakti-yoga, or transcendental loving service to the Lord, and what is called knowledge becomes a concomitant factor. ॥ 1-5-35 ॥
english translation
इस जीवन में भगवान् की तुष्टि के लिए जो भी कार्य किया जाता है, उसे भक्तियोग अथवा भगवान् के प्रति दिव्य प्रेमा भक्ति कहते हैं और जिसे ज्ञान कहते हैं, वह तो सहगामी कारक बन जाता है। ॥ १-५-३५ ॥
