यत्रानुरक्ताः सहसैव धीरा व्यपोह्य देहादिषु सङ्गमूढम् । व्रजन्ति तत्पारमहंस्यमन्त्यं यस्मिन्नहिंसोपशमः स्वधर्मः ॥ १-१८-२२ ॥
Self-controlled persons who are attached to the Supreme Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa can all of a sudden give up the world of material attachment, including the gross body and subtle mind, and go away to attain the highest perfection of the renounced order of life, by which nonviolence and renunciation are consequential. ॥ 1-18-22 ॥

परम भगवान् श्रीकृष्ण के प्रति अनुरक्त आत्म-संयमी पुरुष, स्थूल शरीर तथा सूक्ष्म मन सहित, एकाएक भौतिक आसक्ति से ओतप्रोत संसार को त्याग सकते हैं और जीवन के संन्यास आश्रम की सर्वोच्च सिद्धि प्राप्त करने के लिए बाहर चले जाते हैं, जिसके फलस्वरूप अहिंसा तथा वैराग्य उत्पन्न होते हैं। ॥ १-१८-२२ ॥
