स एष एतर्ह्यध्यास्त आसनं पार्थिवोचितम् । पितामहेनोपन्यस्तं राज्ञारण्यं विविक्षता ।। १-१७-४३ ।।

sanskrit

The most fortunate emperor Mahārāja Parīkṣit, who was entrusted with the kingdom of Hastināpura by Mahārāja Yudhiṣṭhira when he desired to retire to the forest. ।। 1-17-43 ।।

english translation

वे ही सर्वाधिक भाग्यशाली सम्राट महाराज परीक्षित, जिन्हें महाराज युधिष्ठिर ने वन जाते समय हस्तिनापुर का राज्य सौंपा था । ।। १-१७-४३ ।।
