कच्चित्त्वं ब्राह्मणं बालं गां वृद्धं रोगिणं स्त्रियम् । शरणोपसृतं सत्त्वं नात्याक्षीः शरणप्रदः ॥ १-१४-४१ ॥
You are always the protector of the deserving living beings, such as brāhmaṇas, children, cows, women and the diseased. Could you not give them protection when they approached you for shelter? ॥ 1-14-41 ॥
english translation
तुम तो सदा से सुपात्र जीवों के यथा ब्राह्मणों, बालकों, गायों, स्त्रियों तथा रोगियों के रक्षक रहे हो। क्या तुम उनके शरण माँगे जाने पर उन्हें शरण नहीं दे सके? ॥ १-१४-४१ ॥
