Shiva Purana
तत्र लीनाश्च मुनयः श्रौतपाशुपतव्रताः ॥ मुक्ता बभूवुः स्वस्थाश्च नैष्ठिका दग्धकिल्बिषाः ॥ ३५ ॥
The sages who were merged therein are those who had performed the Pāśupata rites in accordance with the Vedic injunctions. They have become liberated. Their sins have been washed in view of their stable piety.
english translation
tatra lInAzca munayaH zrautapAzupatavratAH ॥ muktA babhUvuH svasthAzca naiSThikA dagdhakilbiSAH ॥ 35 ॥
