Shiva Purana
पार्थिवांशं विना नित्यं सुरभिर्गन्धसंग्रहः ॥ एवमष्टगुणं प्राहुः पैशाचं पार्थिवं पदम् ॥ १९ ॥
Without a portion of the earth, the fragrance is always a collection of fragrances. Thus it is said that the eightfold position of the devil is earthly.

pArthivAMzaM vinA nityaM surabhirgandhasaMgrahaH ॥ evamaSTaguNaM prAhuH paizAcaM pArthivaM padam ॥ 19 ॥
