Shiva Purana
प्राणायामस्य तस्यैते कलां नार्हन्ति षोडशीम् ॥ इन्द्रियाणि प्रसक्तानि यथास्वं विषयेष्विह ॥ ४५ ॥
These sixteen arts of prāṇāyāma do not deserve to be performed. The senses are attached to the objects of this world as they are.

prANAyAmasya tasyaite kalAM nArhanti SoDazIm ॥ indriyANi prasaktAni yathAsvaM viSayeSviha ॥ 45 ॥
