अपीठे पीठमावेश्य कृत्वा संप्रोक्षणं विधिम् ॥ यजेत्तत्र शिवं तेषां प्रतिष्ठा न विधीयते ॥ ६१ ॥
After placing a seat on an unseated body one should perform the ritual of sprinkling water One should worship Lord Shiva there and their establishment is not prescribed.

दग्धं श्लथं क्षतांगं च क्षिपेल्लिंगं जलाशये ॥ संधानयोग्यं संधाय प्रतिष्ठाविधिमाचरेत् ॥ ६२ ॥
Burnt, weakened or partially broken Liṅga shall be thrown in a pond or a river. That which can be joined shall be joined and installed.

बेराद्वा विकलाल्लिंगाद्देवपूजापुरस्सरम् ॥ उद्वास्य हृदि संधानं त्यागं वा युक्तमाचरेत् ॥ ६३ ॥
The lord shall be dismissed ritualistically from the idol that is mutilated, after due worship but retained in the heart.

एकाहपूजाविहतौ कुर्याद्द्विगुणमर्चनम् ॥ द्विरात्रे च महापूजां संप्रोक्षणमतः परम् ॥ ६४ ॥
If the worship is in default for one day it shall be doubled, if in default for two days, great worship shall be performed. Samprokṣaṇa rite shall be performed thereafter.

मासादूर्ध्वमनेकाहं पूजा यदि विहन्यते ॥ प्रतिष्ठा प्रोच्यते कैश्चित्कैश्चित्संप्रोक्षणक्रमः ॥ ६५ ॥
If there is default in worship for about a month, or for more days, some advocate reinstallation. But others say that the Samprokṣaṇa rite alone is enough.
