उपमन्युरुवाच अनात्मप्रतिकूले तु दिवसे शुक्लपक्षके ॥ शिवशास्त्रोक्तमार्गेण कुर्याल्लिंगं प्रमाणवत् ॥ २ ॥
Upamanyu said:— On a day in the bright half of the month not unfavourable to him, the devotee shall make the Liṅga of the proper size in the manner prescribed in the Śaivite scriptures.
