Shiva Purana
श्रिया रूपेण शीलेन बलेन च कुलेन च ॥ अन्यच्चिंतयते जंतुः कालो ऽन्यत्कुरुते बलात् ॥ १५ ॥
The individual soul proposes something on the basis of its glory, beauty, conduct, strength and pedigree but Kāla disposes it.
english translation
zriyA rUpeNa zIlena balena ca kulena ca ॥ anyacciMtayate jaMtuH kAlo 'nyatkurute balAt ॥ 15 ॥
