दशसंख्यावरो होमः प्रतिद्रव्यं शतोत्तरः ॥ घोररूपश्शिवश्चिंत्यो मारणोच्चाटनादिषु ॥ ४१ ॥
The number of sacrifices is not less than ten for every article and the maximum is hundred. In such rites as Māraṇa and Uccāṭana Śiva shall be conceived terrific in form.
english translation
dazasaMkhyAvaro homaH pratidravyaM zatottaraH ॥ ghorarUpazzivazciMtyo mAraNoccATanAdiSu ॥ 41 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptशिवलिंगे शिवाग्नौ च ह्यन्यासु प्रतिमासु च ॥ चिंत्यस्सौम्यतनुश्शंभुः कार्ये शांतिकपौष्टिके ॥ ४२ ॥
When quiescent or nourishing rites are being performed, Śiva shall be thought of as gentle in the phallic image in the Śiva-fire and in other idols as well.
english translation
zivaliMge zivAgnau ca hyanyAsu pratimAsu ca ॥ ciMtyassaumyatanuzzaMbhuH kArye zAMtikapauSTike ॥ 42 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptआयसौ स्रुक्स्रुवौ कार्यौ मारणादिषु कर्मसु ॥ तदन्यत्र तु सौवर्णौ शांतिकाद्येषु कृत्स्नशः ॥ ४३ ॥
In Māraṇa and other rites the Śruk and Śruva shall be made of iron. In all other rites such as quiescent these shall be made of gold.
english translation
Ayasau sruksruvau kAryau mAraNAdiSu karmasu ॥ tadanyatra tu sauvarNau zAMtikAdyeSu kRtsnazaH ॥ 43 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदूर्वया घृतगोक्षीरमिश्रया मधुना तथा ॥ चरुणा सघृतेनैव केवलं पयसापि वा ॥ ४४ ॥
Durvāsā Muni was mixed with ghee, cow’s milk and honey. Charuna with ghee or milk alone.

dUrvayA ghRtagokSIramizrayA madhunA tathA ॥ caruNA saghRtenaiva kevalaM payasApi vA ॥ 44 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptजुहुयान्मृत्युविजये तिलै रोगोपशांतये ॥ घृतेन पयसा चैव कमलैर्वाथ केवलैः ॥ ४५ ॥
One should offer oblations of sesame seeds to conquer death and to counteract diseases. Ghee and milk or lotuses alone.

juhuyAnmRtyuvijaye tilai rogopazAMtaye ॥ ghRtena payasA caiva kamalairvAtha kevalaiH ॥ 45 ॥
