तामसः पश्चिमे चाग्निः पूज्यस्संहारको हरः ॥ सात्त्विकस्सुखकृत्सौम्ये विष्णुर्विश्वपतिर्मृडः ॥ ५४ ॥

In the west is the fire of darkness and Lord Śiva is worshiped as the destroyer of the universe O gentle one Vishnu is the lord of the universe and is the source of happiness in the mode of goodness.

english translation

tAmasaH pazcime cAgniH pUjyassaMhArako haraH ॥ sAttvikassukhakRtsaumye viSNurvizvapatirmRDaH ॥ 54 ॥
