Shiva Purana
कर्पूरं चाथ कंकोलं जात्यादि च नवं शुभम् ॥ आलेपनं चन्दनं स्यान्मूलकाष्ठंरजोमयम् ॥ १७ ॥
Camphor, kankola, jatiya and other auspicious fruits are also offered. The ointment should be sandalwood and the root wood should be made of dust.
