Shiva Purana
यदा समस्तं न दिवा न रात्रिर्न सदप्यसत् ॥ केवलश्शिव एवैको यतः प्रज्ञा पुरातनी ॥ ३९ ॥
When everything was neither existent nor non-existent, when it was neither day nor night, Śiva alone existed from whom the ancient wisdom emanated.
english translation
yadA samastaM na divA na rAtrirna sadapyasat ॥ kevalazziva evaiko yataH prajJA purAtanI ॥ 39 ॥
