भोक्तृत्वविषयासंगमलं तत्कायशोधनम् ॥ कृत्वैवमेव शिष्यस्य छिंद्यात्पाशत्रयं ततः ॥ १६ ॥
Thus he shall purify his body that contains the dirt of enjoyment of pleasures and contact with sensual objects. He shall cut off the three bondages of the disciple.
english translation
bhoktRtvaviSayAsaMgamalaM tatkAyazodhanam ॥ kRtvaivameva ziSyasya chiMdyAtpAzatrayaM tataH ॥ 16 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptनिकृत्या परि बद्धस्य पाशस्यात्यंतभेदतः ॥ कृत्वा शिष्यस्य चैतन्यं स्वच्छं मन्येत केवलम् ॥ १७ ॥
By the complete splitting of the bondage he shall make the disciple dean.
english translation
nikRtyA pari baddhasya pAzasyAtyaMtabhedataH ॥ kRtvA ziSyasya caitanyaM svacchaM manyeta kevalam ॥ 17 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptहुत्वा पूर्णाहुतिं वह्नौ ब्रह्माणं पूजयेत्ततः ॥ हुत्वाहुतित्रयं तस्मै शिवाज्ञामनुसंदिशेत् ॥ १८ ॥
After making the Pūrṇāhuti in the fire he shall worship Brahmā. After performing three Āhutis for him he shall submit to him the behest of Śiva.
english translation
hutvA pUrNAhutiM vahnau brahmANaM pUjayettataH ॥ hutvAhutitrayaM tasmai zivAjJAmanusaMdizet ॥ 18 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपितामह त्वया नास्य यातुः शैवं परं पदम् ॥ प्रतिबन्धो विधातव्यः शैवाज्ञैषा गरीयसी ॥ १९ ॥
‘O Pitāmaha, no hindrance shall be placed for this disciple who is going to the great region of Śiva. This is the behest of Śiva’.
english translation
pitAmaha tvayA nAsya yAtuH zaivaM paraM padam ॥ pratibandho vidhAtavyaH zaivAjJaiSA garIyasI ॥ 19 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptइत्यादिश्य तमभ्यर्च्य विसृज च विधानतः ॥ समभ्यर्च्य महादेवं जुहुयादाहुतित्रयम् ॥ २० ॥
Thus imploring him, he shall worship and ritualistically dismiss him. He shall worship Mahādeva and perform three Āhutis.
english translation
ityAdizya tamabhyarcya visRja ca vidhAnataH ॥ samabhyarcya mahAdevaM juhuyAdAhutitrayam ॥ 20 ॥
