तृतीये मण्डले शिष्यमुपवेश्य यथा पुरा ॥ प्रदद्याद्दंतपवनं यथाशास्त्रोक्तलक्षणम् ॥ ३६ ॥
He shall make the disciple sit on a third Maṇḍala as before, and hand over a tooth brush twig having the characteristics mentioned in the scriptures.
english translation
tRtIye maNDale ziSyamupavezya yathA purA ॥ pradadyAddaMtapavanaM yathAzAstroktalakSaNam ॥ 36 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअग्रेण तस्य मृदुना प्राङ्मुखो वाप्युदङ्मुखः ॥ वाचं नियम्य चासीनश्शिष्यो दंतान्विशोधयेत् ॥ ३७ ॥
The disciple shall sit silently facing the east or the north and clean his teeth with its soft tip.
english translation
agreNa tasya mRdunA prAGmukho vApyudaGmukhaH ॥ vAcaM niyamya cAsInazziSyo daMtAnvizodhayet ॥ 37 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptप्रक्षाल्य दंतपवनं त्यक्त्वाचम्य शिवं स्मरेत् ॥ प्रविशेद्देशिकादिष्टः प्रांजलिः शिवमण्डलम् ॥ ३८ ॥
He shall cast off the tooth brush, wash his hands and mouth, perform Ācamana and remember Śiva. Then at the behest of the preceptor he shall enter Śiva Maṇḍapa with palms joined in reverence.
english translation
prakSAlya daMtapavanaM tyaktvAcamya zivaM smaret ॥ pravizeddezikAdiSTaH prAMjaliH zivamaNDalam ॥ 38 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptत्यक्तं तद्दन्तपवनं दृश्यते गुरुणा यदि ॥ प्रागुदक्पश्चिमे वाग्रे शिवमन्यच्छिवेतरम् ॥ ३९ ॥
If the teacher sees that the tooth wind has been abandoned, In the east, north and west, in the forehead, there is another Shiva and another Shiva.
english translation
tyaktaM taddantapavanaM dRzyate guruNA yadi ॥ prAgudakpazcime vAgre zivamanyacchivetaram ॥ 39 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअशस्ताशामुखे तस्मिन्गुरुस्तद्दोषशांतये ॥ शतमर्धं तदर्धं वाजुहुयान्मूलमन्त्रतः ॥ ४० ॥
When the spiritual master was in the mouth of Aśastaśāśa, he relieved his evils. One hundred and fifty and half of it should be offered in the root mantra.
