Shiva Purana
ततः शिवासनं ध्यात्वा शिष्यमूर्ध्नि देशिकः ॥ तत्रावाह्य यथान्यायमर्चयेन्मनसा शिवम् ॥ ६१ ॥
Then the priest should meditate on the seat of Lord Śiva and place it on the head of his disciple There one should call upon Lord Śiva in accordance with prescribed rituals and worship him with his mind.

tataH zivAsanaM dhyAtvA ziSyamUrdhni dezikaH ॥ tatrAvAhya yathAnyAyamarcayenmanasA zivam ॥ 61 ॥
