तथैव भर्तृहीनाया पुत्रादेरभ्यनुज्ञया ॥ अधिकारो भवत्येव कन्यायाः पितुराज्ञया ॥ शूद्राणां मर्त्यजातीनां पतितानां विशेषतः ॥ ६३ ॥

Similarly, if a woman is deprived of her husband, she must have her sons and other relatives with her permission. The rights of the daughter are always granted by the order of her father. Especially among the śūdras, who have fallen into the race of mortals.

english translation

tathaiva bhartRhInAyA putrAderabhyanujJayA ॥ adhikAro bhavatyeva kanyAyAH piturAjJayA ॥ zUdrANAM martyajAtInAM patitAnAM vizeSataH ॥ 63 ॥
