Shiva Purana
लैंगे व्यासावतारा हि द्वापरां तेषु सुव्रताः ॥ योगाचार्यावताराश्च तथा शिष्येषु शूलिनः ॥ ४९ ॥
The incarnations of Vyāsadeva in the form of Laṅga lived in Dvāpara-yuga and observed auspicious vows. The incarnations of the teacher of yoga and the spearmen among his disciples.

laiMge vyAsAvatArA hi dvAparAM teSu suvratAH ॥ yogAcAryAvatArAzca tathA ziSyeSu zUlinaH ॥ 49 ॥
