वर्णाश्रमकृतैर्धर्मैर्विपरीतं क्वचित्समम् ॥ वेदात्षडंगादुद्धृत्य सांख्याद्योगाच्च कृत्स्नशः ॥ ३ ॥

At places it is opposed to the rites prescribed for the different castes and men in different stages of life. At places it is the same. It has been adopted from the Vedas, their ancillary texts and from the systems of Sāṅkhya and Yoga.

english translation

varNAzramakRtairdharmairviparItaM kvacitsamam ॥ vedAtSaDaMgAduddhRtya sAMkhyAdyogAcca kRtsnazaH ॥ 3 ॥
