देवा ऊचुः ॥ भगवन्केन मार्गेण पूजनीयो ऽसि भूतले ॥ कस्याधिकारः पूजायां वक्तुमर्हसि तत्त्वतः ॥ २६ ॥
The gods said:— O lord, how shall they worship you on the earth? What is the path? Who is authorised in the worship?
english translation
devA UcuH ॥ bhagavankena mArgeNa pUjanIyo 'si bhUtale ॥ kasyAdhikAraH pUjAyAM vaktumarhasi tattvataH ॥ 26 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततः सस्मितमालोक्य देवीं देववरोहरः ॥ स्वरूपं दर्शयामास घोरं सूर्यात्मकं परम् ॥ २७ ॥
Glancing smilingly at the goddess, Śiva the chief of the gods revealed his terrible form brilliant as the sun.
english translation
tataH sasmitamAlokya devIM devavaroharaH ॥ svarUpaM darzayAmAsa ghoraM sUryAtmakaM param ॥ 27 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसर्वैश्वर्यगुणोपेतं सर्वतेजोमयं परम् ॥ शक्तिभिर्मूर्तिभिश्चांगैर्ग्रहैर्देवैश्च संवृतम् ॥ २८ ॥
It was equipped with the attributes of lordship. It comprised all splendours. It was surrounded by the Śaktis, images, planets and the gods.

sarvaizvaryaguNopetaM sarvatejomayaM param ॥ zaktibhirmUrtibhizcAMgairgrahairdevaizca saMvRtam ॥ 28 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअष्टबाहुं चतुर्वक्त्रमर्धनारीकमद्भुतम् ॥ दृष्ट्वैवमद्भुताकारं देवा विष्णुपुरोगमाः ॥ २९ ॥
He had eight arms, four faces and half a woman. Seeing this wonderful figure the devatas led by Lord Visnu.
english translation
aSTabAhuM caturvaktramardhanArIkamadbhutam ॥ dRSTvaivamadbhutAkAraM devA viSNupurogamAH ॥ 29 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptबुद्ध्वा दिवाकरं देवं देवीं चैव निशाकरम् ॥ पञ्चभूतानि शेषाणि तन्मयं च चराचरम् ॥ ३० ॥
He understood that the sun was the god and that the goddess was the night. The remaining five elements and all moving and nonmoving beings are made up of Him.

buddhvA divAkaraM devaM devIM caiva nizAkaram ॥ paJcabhUtAni zeSANi tanmayaM ca carAcaram ॥ 30 ॥
