सो ऽब्रवीद्भगवान्रुद्रो ह्यहमेकः पुरातनः ॥ आसं प्रथममेवाहं वर्तामि १ च सुरोत्तमाः ॥ १५ ॥

Then Lord Rudra replied: I am the one ancient Lord. I was the first and I am 1 and the best of the gods.
