बुद्धिं प्रसूते सा बुद्धिरहंकारमहंकृतिः ॥ इन्द्रियाणि दशैकं च तन्मात्रापञ्चकं तथा ॥ १६ ॥
That intelligence gives birth to egoism and egoism. The senses are eleven and the five elements are five.

buddhiM prasUte sA buddhirahaMkAramahaMkRtiH ॥ indriyANi dazaikaM ca tanmAtrApaJcakaM tathA ॥ 16 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptशासनाद्देवदेवस्य शिवस्य शिवदायिनः ॥ तन्मात्राण्यपि तस्यैव शासनेन महीयसा ॥ १७ ॥
By the command of Lord Śiva, the god of the gods, he bestows all auspiciousness. Even those little things were done by the same great command.

zAsanAddevadevasya zivasya zivadAyinaH ॥ tanmAtrANyapi tasyaiva zAsanena mahIyasA ॥ 17 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमहाभूतान्यशेषाणि भावयंत्यनुपूर्वशः ॥ ब्रह्मादीनां तृणान्तानां देहिनां देहसंगतिम् ॥ १८ ॥
They meditate on the remaining great beings one after another. The association of Brahma and other embodied beings with grass-ends.

mahAbhUtAnyazeSANi bhAvayaMtyanupUrvazaH ॥ brahmAdInAM tRNAntAnAM dehinAM dehasaMgatim ॥ 18 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमहाभूतान्यशेषाणि जनयंति शिवाज्ञया ॥ अध्यवस्यति वै बुद्धिरहंकारोभिमन्यते ॥ १९ ॥
By the order of Lord Śiva, the living entities give birth to all other living entities. The intellect determines and the ego perceives.

mahAbhUtAnyazeSANi janayaMti zivAjJayA ॥ adhyavasyati vai buddhirahaMkArobhimanyate ॥ 19 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptचित्तं चेतयते चापि मनः संकल्पयत्यपि ॥ श्रोत्रादीनि च गृह्णन्ति शब्दादीन्विषयान् पृथक् ॥ २० ॥
It also awakens the consciousness and makes the mind resolve. The senses of hearing and other senses perceive sound and other objects separately.
