फलार्णवं च बालस्य भक्ष्य भोज्यार्णवं तथा ॥ अपूपानां गिरिं चैव दर्शयामास स प्रभुः ॥ ३६ ॥

There was an ocean of fruits and food for the child to eat. The lord also showed him the mountain of the uncooked.

english translation

phalArNavaM ca bAlasya bhakSya bhojyArNavaM tathA ॥ apUpAnAM giriM caiva darzayAmAsa sa prabhuH ॥ 36 ॥

एवं स ददृशे देवो देव्या सार्धं वृषोपरि ॥ गणेश्वरैस्त्रिशूलाद्यैर्दिव्यास्त्रैरपि संवृतः ॥ ३७ ॥

The lord appeared thus seated on the bull along with the goddess and surrounded by the lords of Gaṇas and holding the divine missiles, trident etc.

दिवि दुंदुभयो नेदुः पुष्पवृष्टिः पपात च ॥ विष्णुब्रह्मेन्द्रप्रमुखैर्देवैश्छन्ना दिशो दश ॥ ३८ ॥

The Dundubhi drums were sounded in the heaven. There was a shower of flowers; the ten quarters were filled with the gods, chiefs of whom were Viṣṇu, Brahmā and Indra.

अथोपमन्युरानन्दसमुद्रोर्मिभिरावृतः ॥ पपात दण्डवद्भूमौ भक्तिनम्रेण चेतसा ॥ ३९ ॥

Then Upamanyu enveloped by the waves of bliss fell at his feet, his mind made humble with devotion.

एतस्मिन्समये तत्र सस्मितो भगवान्भवः ॥ एह्येहीति तमाहूय मूर्ध्न्याघ्राय ददौ वरान् ॥ ४० ॥

Then the smiling lord Śiva called him nearer, kissed him on the head and granted him boons.
