तां प्रणम्यैवमुक्त्वा च तपः कर्तुं प्रचक्रमे ॥ तमाह च तदा माता शुभं कुर्वंतु ते सुराः ॥ ५१ ॥

tAM praNamyaivamuktvA ca tapaH kartuM pracakrame ॥ tamAha ca tadA mAtA zubhaM kurvaMtu te surAH ॥ 51 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअनुज्ञातस्तया तत्र तपस्तेपे स दुश्चरम् ॥ हिमवत्पर्वतं प्राप्य वायुभक्षः समाहितः ॥ ५२ ॥

anujJAtastayA tatra tapastepe sa duzcaram ॥ himavatparvataM prApya vAyubhakSaH samAhitaH ॥ 52 ॥

hk transliteration by Sanscriptभक्त्या पञ्चाक्षरेणैव पुत्रैः पुष्पैर्वनोद्भवैः ॥ समभ्यर्च्य चिरं कालं चचार परमं तपः ॥ ५४ ॥
With devotion the five syllables were offered to the sons with flowers grown in the forest. After worshiping him he performed severe austerities for a long time.

bhaktyA paJcAkSareNaiva putraiH puSpairvanodbhavaiH ॥ samabhyarcya ciraM kAlaM cacAra paramaM tapaH ॥ 54 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततस्तपश्चरत्तं तं बालमेकाकिनं कृशम् ॥ उपमन्युं द्विजवरं शिवसंसक्तमानसम् ॥ ५५ ॥
