समर्पयेत्स्वगुरवे स्थापयेद्वा शिवालये ॥ संपूज्य च गुरून्विप्रान्व्रतिनश्च विशेषतः ॥ ६१ ॥
One should offer it to one’s spiritual master or place it in a temple of Lord Śiva. He worshiped the teachers the brahmins and the observers of vows in particular.
english translation
भक्तान्द्विजांश्च शक्तश्चेद्दीनानाथांश्च तोषयेत् ॥ स्वयं चानशने शक्तः फलमूलाशने ऽथ वा ॥ ६२ ॥
If one is able to do so, one should satisfy devotees, brāhmaṇas and the poor orphans. He himself is able to eat food or fruits and roots.
english translation
पयोव्रतो वा भिक्षाशी भवेदेकाशनस्तथा ॥ नक्तं युक्ताशनो नित्यं भूशय्यानिरतः शुचिः ॥ ६३ ॥
One should observe a vow of milk or beg and eat only one meal. He should eat well at night and always lie on the ground and be clean.
english translation
भस्मशायी तृणेशायी चीराजिनधृतो ऽथवा ॥ ब्रह्मचर्यव्रतो नित्यं व्रतमेतत्समाचरेत् ॥ ६४ ॥
He may lie down on ashes or on grass and wear bark cloth and deerskin. One who observes the vow of celibacy should observe this vow daily.
english translation
अर्कवारे तथार्द्रायां पञ्चदश्यां च पक्षयोः ॥ अष्टम्यां च चतुर्दश्यां शक्तस्तूपवसेदपि ॥ ६५ ॥
If he is strong enough he shall observe fast on Sundays on Ardrā star days, on full moon and new moon days and on the eighth and fourteenth days.
