देव्युवाच ॥ यदुक्तं भवता सर्वं तथ्यमस्त्वयमीदृशः ॥ तथापि मां प्रपन्नो ऽभून्न त्याज्यो मामुपाश्रितः ॥ ११ ॥
The goddess said:— What you have said is entirely true. Let him be like this. Still he has resorted to me. One who has sought refuge in me shall not be abandoned.
english translation
ब्रह्मोवाच ॥ अस्य भक्तिमविज्ञाय प्राग्वृत्तं ते निवेदितम् ॥ भक्तिश्चेदस्य किं पापैर्न ते भक्तः प्रणश्यति ॥ १२ ॥
Brahmā said:— I narrated his antecedents without realising his devotion. If there be devotion, sins are not effective? Your devotee never perishes.
english translation
पुण्यकर्मापि किं कुर्यात्त्वदीयाज्ञानपेक्षया ॥ अजा प्रज्ञा पुराणी च त्वमेव परमेश्वरी ॥ १३ ॥
What can a man of virtuous rites achieve without depending on your behest? You alone are the unborn, intelligent, ancient goddess.
english translation
त्वदधीना हि सर्वेषां बंधमोक्षव्यवस्थितिः ॥ त्वदृते परमा शक्तिः संसिद्धिः कस्य कर्मणा ॥ १४ ॥
Bondage and liberation depend on you. There is no greater Śakti than you. Without you rites cannot achieve results.

त्वमेव विविधा शक्तिः भवानामथ वा स्वयम् ॥ अशक्तः कर्मकरणे कर्ता वा किं करिष्यति ॥ १५ ॥
You alone constitute Śakti of living beings. Himself incompetent to do anything what will a mere agent do?
