पुरा किल सती नाम्ना दक्षस्य दुहिता ऽभवम् ॥ जगतां पतिमेवं त्वां पतिं प्राप्तवती तथा ॥ ५६ ॥

In the past, I was the daughter of King Dakṣa, whose name was Satī. Thus she found you the husband of the worlds.

purA kila satI nAmnA dakSasya duhitA 'bhavam ॥ jagatAM patimevaM tvAM patiM prAptavatI tathA ॥ 56 ॥
