Shiva Purana
सद्भिर्विगर्हितं तस्मात्तव कार्ष्ण्यमसंमतम् ॥ अनुत्सृज्य तपोयोगात्स्थातुमेवेह नोत्सहे ॥ ५१ ॥
Dark complexion is hated by good men. You too disapprove of it. Without wiping it off by dint of penance I am not inclined to stay here.
english translation
sadbhirvigarhitaM tasmAttava kArSNyamasaMmatam ॥ anutsRjya tapoyogAtsthAtumeveha notsahe ॥ 51 ॥
