बाणोद्धारे भुजो ह्यस्य तूणीवदनसंगतः ॥ प्रत्यदृश्यत वल्मीकं विवेक्षुरिव पन्नगः ॥ १७ ॥
His hand in contact with the opening of the quiver for taking up the arrows appeared like a serpent wishing to enter an anthill.

bANoddhAre bhujo hyasya tUNIvadanasaMgataH ॥ pratyadRzyata valmIkaM vivekSuriva pannagaH ॥ 17 ॥
