ततो देवः सरस्वत्या नासिकाग्रं सुशोभनम् ॥ चिच्छेद करजाग्रेण देवमातुस्तथैव च ॥ १६ ॥

Then the lord cut off the tip of the nose of Sarasvatī as well as of the mother of the gods with the tip of his nail.

english translation

tato devaH sarasvatyA nAsikAgraM suzobhanam ॥ ciccheda karajAgreNa devamAtustathaiva ca ॥ 16 ॥

चिच्छेद च कुठारेण बाहुदंडं विभावसोः ॥ अग्रतो द्व्यंगुलां जिह्वां मातुर्देव्या लुलाव च ॥ १७ ॥

With a dagger he chopped off an arm of Vibhāvasu, and the tongue up to two inches from the tip, of the mother of the gods.

ciccheda ca kuThAreNa bAhudaMDaM vibhAvasoH ॥ agrato dvyaMgulAM jihvAM mAturdevyA lulAva ca ॥ 17 ॥

स्वाहादेव्यास्तथा देवो दक्षिणं नासिकापुटम् ॥ चकर्त करजाग्रेण वामं च स्तनचूचुकम् ॥ १८ ॥

The lord nipped off the right nostril and the nipple of the left breast of Svāhā with his nail-end.

The impetuous Bhadra uprooted the eyes of Bhaga large and lustrous like the lotus.

पूष्णो दशनरेखां च दीप्तां मुक्तावलीमिव ॥ जघान धनुषः कोट्या स तेनास्पष्टवागभूत् ॥ २० ॥

With the end of his bow he hit Puṣan’s pearl like row of teeth. Thereafter Puṣan could not utter words clearly.
