किंस्विद्भग्नो महामेरुः किंस्वित्संदीर्यते मही ॥ किमिदं किमिदं वेति जजल्पुस्त्रिदशा भृशम् ॥ ८ ॥

sanskrit

“Has the great Meru been burst? Is the earth pierced through? What is this?” the gods, began to scream and shout.

english translation

kiMsvidbhagno mahAmeruH kiMsvitsaMdIryate mahI ॥ kimidaM kimidaM veti jajalpustridazA bhRzam ॥ 8 ॥
