ब्रह्मणो वचनाद्देवी दक्षस्य दुहिताभवत् ॥ दत्त्वैवमतुलां शक्तिं ब्रह्मणे ब्रह्मरूपिणीम् ॥ २४ ॥

At the behest of Lord Brahmā, the goddess Durgā became the daughter of Dakṣa. Having thus bestowed upon the Supreme Personality of Godhead His incomparable power in the form of the Supreme Personality of Godhead,

brahmaNo vacanAddevI dakSasya duhitAbhavat ॥ dattvaivamatulAM zaktiM brahmaNe brahmarUpiNIm ॥ 24 ॥
