Shiva Purana
कथं पुनरशेषाणां भूतानां हेतुभूतयोः ॥ गुणप्रधानभावेन प्रादुर्भावः परस्परात् ॥ ८ ॥
How could the two, progenitors of the living beings, come out of each other thereby possessing both prominence or otherwise?

kathaM punarazeSANAM bhUtAnAM hetubhUtayoH ॥ guNapradhAnabhAvena prAdurbhAvaH parasparAt ॥ 8 ॥
