प्रभावः कथ्यते तेषां परस्परसमुद्भवात् ॥ शृणु तेषां कथां चित्रां पुण्यां पापप्रमोचिनीम् ॥ २१ ॥
Their influence is said to be due to their mutual interaction. Listen to their wonderful and pious story which delivers from sins.

कल्पे तत्पुरुषे वृत्तां ब्रह्मणः परमेष्ठिनः ॥ पुरा नारायणो नाम कल्पे वै मेघवाहने ॥ २२ ॥
The story of the Supreme Brahman in the Kalpa of that Puruṣa. In the past in the Kalpa there was a man named Nārāyaṇa who carried clouds.
english translation
दिव्यं वर्षसहस्रं तु मेघो भूत्वावहद्धराम् ॥ तस्य भावं समालक्ष्य विष्णोर्विश्वजगद्गुरुः ॥ २३ ॥
For a thousand divine years the clouds appeared and carried the goddess of fortune. Lord Viṣṇu, the spiritual master of the universe, observed his attitude.

सर्वस्सर्वात्मभावेन प्रददौ शक्तिमव्ययाम् ॥ शक्तिं लब्ध्वा तु सर्वात्मा शिवात्सर्वेश्वरात्तदा ॥ २४ ॥
The Supreme Personality of Godhead, who is all-pervading, gave Him inexhaustible power. Then the omniscient Lord of all obtained power from Lord Shiva.

ससर्ज भगावन् विष्णुर्विश्वं विश्वसृजा सह ॥ विष्णोस्तद्वैभवं दृष्ट्वा सृष्टस्तेन पितामहः ॥ २५ ॥
Lord Viṣṇu, along with the creators of the universe, created the universe. Seeing the splendor of Lord Visnu the grandfather was created by him.
