Shiva Purana
धर्माधर्मसुपुष्पाढ्यः सुखदुःखफलोदयः ॥ आजीव्यः सर्वभूतानां ब्रह्मवृक्षः सनातनः ॥ ७५ ॥
It is rich in flowers of righteousness and irreligion and produces the fruits of happiness and distress The eternal tree of the Vedas is the lifeblood of all living beings.

dharmAdharmasupuSpADhyaH sukhaduHkhaphalodayaH ॥ AjIvyaH sarvabhUtAnAM brahmavRkSaH sanAtanaH ॥ 75 ॥
