यत्तत्स्मृतं कारणमप्रमेयं ब्रह्मा प्रधानं प्रकृतेः प्रसूतिः ॥ अनादिमध्यान्तमनन्तवीर्यं शुक्लं सुरक्तं पुरुषेण युक्तम् ॥ ४६ ॥
What is called as the unmanifest cause is Pradhāna. Brahmā is the progeny of Prakṛti. The Pradhāna has neither beginning nor middle nor end. Its prowess is infinite. It is white and deep red. It is associated with Puruṣa.
english translation
yattatsmRtaM kAraNamaprameyaM brahmA pradhAnaM prakRteH prasUtiH ॥ anAdimadhyAntamanantavIryaM zuklaM suraktaM puruSeNa yuktam ॥ 46 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptउत्पादकत्वाद्रजसोतिरेकाल्लोकस्य संतानविवृद्धिहेतून् ॥ अष्टौ विकारानपि चादिकाले सृष्ट्वा समश्नाति तथांतकाले ॥ ४७ ॥
When the Rajas predominates it becomes generative. It creates the eight secondary tattvas in the beginning, which cause flourishing of the worlds. In the end it devours them.
english translation
utpAdakatvAdrajasotirekAllokasya saMtAnavivRddhihetUn ॥ aSTau vikArAnapi cAdikAle sRSTvA samaznAti tathAMtakAle ॥ 47 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptप्रकृत्यवस्थापितकारणानां या च स्थितिर्या च पुनः प्रवृत्तिः ॥ तत्सर्वमप्राकृतवैभवस्य संकल्पमात्रेण महेश्वरस्य ॥ ४८ ॥
The stability and the subsequent operation of the causes projected by Prakṛti take place by the thought of supreme lord whose prowess is not effected by Prakṛti.
english translation
prakRtyavasthApitakAraNAnAM yA ca sthitiryA ca punaH pravRttiH ॥ tatsarvamaprAkRtavaibhavasya saMkalpamAtreNa mahezvarasya ॥ 48 ॥
