वारुणीमद्रसं जातमुखरागाऽऽकुलेन्द्रिया ॥ प्रोवाच परमेशानी मेघगंभीरया गिरा ॥ ५६ ॥
With her face reddened as a result of the inebriation after drinking wine, and with her senses excited, she spoke in a tone as majestic as the rumbling of the clouds.
english translation
vAruNImadrasaM jAtamukharAgA''kulendriyA ॥ provAca paramezAnI meghagaMbhIrayA girA ॥ 56 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscript॥ देव्युवाच ॥ रे मूढ रे हतप्रज्ञ व्यर्थ किं कुरुषे हठम् ॥ न मदग्रेऽसुराः केपि स्थास्नवो जगतीत्रये ॥ ५७ ॥
The goddess said:— “O stupid fellow, O demon of ruined intellect, why are you stubborn in vain? None of the Asuras in the three worlds can stand before me”.
english translation
॥ devyuvAca ॥ re mUDha re hataprajJa vyartha kiM kuruSe haTham ॥ na madagre'surAH kepi sthAsnavo jagatItraye ॥ 57 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptऋषि रुवाच ॥ एकमाभाष्य कूर्दित्वा देवी सर्वकलामयी ॥ पदाक्रम्यासुरं कण्ठे शूलेनोग्रेण साऽभिनत् ॥ ५८ ॥
The sage said:— Thus saying the goddess pounced on him, stamped on his neck and pierced him with her fierce spear.
english translation
RSi ruvAca ॥ ekamAbhASya kUrditvA devI sarvakalAmayI ॥ padAkramyAsuraM kaNThe zUlenogreNa sA'bhinat ॥ 58 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततस्तच्चरणाक्रान्तस्स स्वकीयमुखात्ततः ॥ अर्द्धनिष्क्रान्त एवासीद्देव्या वीर्येण संवृतः ॥ ५९ ॥
Pressed with her foot and overwhelmed by her might the Asura seemed as good as half dead.
english translation
tatastaccaraNAkrAntassa svakIyamukhAttataH ॥ arddhaniSkrAnta evAsIddevyA vIryeNa saMvRtaH ॥ 59 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअर्द्धनिष्क्रान्त एवासौ युध्यमानो महाधमः ॥ महासिना शिरो भित्त्वा न्यपाति धरणीतले ॥ ६० ॥
Still he continued to fight. His head was cut off with the sword and he was felled down on the ground.

arddhaniSkrAnta evAsau yudhyamAno mahAdhamaH ॥ mahAsinA ziro bhittvA nyapAti dharaNItale ॥ 60 ॥
