सचर्म्मासिकरं तं च देवी बाणैरताडयत् ॥ ततो गजवपुर्भूत्वा सिंहं चिच्छेद शुण्डया ॥ ५१ ॥
She then struck him with the arrows, as he stood there with the sword and shield. He then became an elephant and struck at the lion with his trunk.
english translation
sacarmmAsikaraM taM ca devI bANairatADayat ॥ tato gajavapurbhUtvA siMhaM ciccheda zuNDayA ॥ 51 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततोऽस्य च करं देवी चकर्त स्वमहासिना ॥ अधारि च पुना रूपं स्वकीयं तेन रक्षसा ॥ ५२ ॥
The goddess cut off his hand with her sword. The demon then assumed his original form.

tato'sya ca karaM devI cakarta svamahAsinA ॥ adhAri ca punA rUpaM svakIyaM tena rakSasA ॥ 52 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतदैव क्षोभयामास त्रैलोक्यं सचराचरम् ॥ ततः क्रुद्धा महामाया चण्डिका मानविक्रमा॥ ५३॥
He then agitated three worlds including the mobile and immobile beings. Then, Caṇḍikā of great honour and exploit became infuriated.

tadaiva kSobhayAmAsa trailokyaM sacarAcaram ॥ tataH kruddhA mahAmAyA caNDikA mAnavikramA॥ 53॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपपौ पुनःपुनः पानं जहासोद्भ्रान्तलोचना ॥ जगर्ज चासुरः सोऽपि बलवीर्यमदो द्धतः ॥ ५४॥
She drank the beverage again and again. With eyes rolliug she laughed aloud. The haughty Asura too, proud of his strength and exploit, roared.

papau punaHpunaH pAnaM jahAsodbhrAntalocanA ॥ jagarja cAsuraH so'pi balavIryamado ddhataH ॥ 54॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतस्या उपरि चिक्षेप शैलानुत्पाट्य सोऽसुरः ॥ सा च बाणावलीघातैश्चूर्णयामास सत्वरम् ॥ ५५ ॥
He uprooted the mountains and hurled them at her. She too reduced them to powder and struck them with arrows.

tasyA upari cikSepa zailAnutpATya so'suraH ॥ sA ca bANAvalIghAtaizcUrNayAmAsa satvaram ॥ 55 ॥
