इत्थं बहुतिथे काले व्यतीते कालिकासुतः ॥ स्नात्वा त्रिपथगातोये यावदायाति स प्रगे ॥ ९१ ॥
A long time elasped thus. One day early in the morning the sage was returning after his bath in the waters of the Gaṅgā.
english translation
मध्यमेश्वरमीशानं भक्ताभीष्टवरप्रदम् ॥ तावद्ददर्श पुण्यात्मा मध्येलिंगं महेश्वरम् ॥ ९२ ॥
The holy sage saw lord Madhyameśvara, the bestower of desires of the devotees, in the midst of the Liṅga.
english translation
उमाभूषितवामांगं व्याघ्रचर्म्मोत्तरीयकम्॥ जटाजूटचलद्गंगातरंगैश्चारुविग्रहम्॥ ९३॥
His left side was adorned by Umā. He was wearing the hide of a tiger as his upper cloth. His body appeared beautiful with the surging waves of the Gaṅgā amidst his matted hair.
english translation
लसच्छारदबालेन्दुचन्द्रिकाचन्दितालकम् ॥ भस्मोद्धूलितसर्वाङ्गं कर्पूरार्जुनविग्रहम् ॥ ९४ ॥
The moonlight of the autumnal crescent moon was forming bright patches in his forelocks. Bhasma was smeared all over his body. His body was as white as camphor or the Arjuna tree.
english translation
कर्णान्तायतनेत्रं च विद्रुमारुणदच्छदम् ॥ पंचवर्षाकृति बालं बालकोचितभूषणम् ॥ ९५॥
He had assumed the form of a five-year-old boy with eyes extending upto his ears. His lips were as red as the coral. He was wearing ornaments befitting a boy.
