पारदा मुंडकेशाश्च पाह्नवाश्श्मश्रुधारिणः ॥ निस्स्वाध्यायवषट्काराः कृतास्तेन महात्मना ॥ ४६॥
Pāradas were given close hair-cut and Pahlavas were asked to grow beard and moustache. All of them were deprived of the right of the Vedic study and the use of Vaṣaṭkāra.
english translation
pAradA muMDakezAzca pAhnavAzzmazrudhAriNaH ॥ nissvAdhyAyavaSaTkArAH kRtAstena mahAtmanA ॥ 46॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptजिता च सकला पृथ्वी धर्मतस्तेन भूभुजा ॥ सर्वे ते क्षत्रियास्तात धर्महीनाः कृताः पुराः ॥ ४७॥
All those Kṣatriyas who had been deprived of virtue were re-instated in piety. The entire earth was conquered by him virtuously.
english translation
jitA ca sakalA pRthvI dharmatastena bhUbhujA ॥ sarve te kSatriyAstAta dharmahInAH kRtAH purAH ॥ 47॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptस धर्मविजयी राजा विजित्वेमां वसुंधराम्॥ अश्वं संस्कारयामास वाजिमेधाय पार्थिवः॥ ४८॥
Thus conquering the earth virtuously the king instituted a horse-sacrifice.
english translation
sa dharmavijayI rAjA vijitvemAM vasuMdharAm॥ azvaM saMskArayAmAsa vAjimedhAya pArthivaH॥ 48॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतस्य चास्यतेस्सोऽश्वस्समुद्रे पूर्वदक्षिणे ॥ गतः षष्टिसहस्रैस्तु तत्पुत्रैरन्वितो मुने ॥ ४९ ॥
O sage, the sacrificial horse was let loose, followed by his sixty thousand sons. It reached the shore of the ocean in the south-eastern region.
english translation
tasya cAsyatesso'zvassamudre pUrvadakSiNe ॥ gataH SaSTisahasraistu tatputrairanvito mune ॥ 49 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदेवराजेन शक्रेण सोऽश्वो हि स्वार्थसाधिना ॥ वेलासमीपेऽपहृतो भूमिं चैव प्रवेशितः ॥ ५०॥
It was stealthily removed by Indra, king of the gods, for his selfish ends near the sea-shore and taken underground.
english translation
devarAjena zakreNa so'zvo hi svArthasAdhinA ॥ velAsamIpe'pahRto bhUmiM caiva pravezitaH ॥ 50॥
