शतवृद्धः पुमांल्लब्ध्वा यावदायुस्समभ्यसेत् ॥ मृत्युञ्जयवपुस्तम्भ आरोग्यं वायुवर्द्धनम् ॥ ३६॥
A hundred-year-old man should practice for as long as he lives. It is the pillar of the body that conquers death and enhances health and air.
english translation
zatavRddhaH pumAMllabdhvA yAvadAyussamabhyaset ॥ mRtyuJjayavapustambha ArogyaM vAyuvarddhanam ॥ 36॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptप्रत्ययो दृश्यते वृद्धे किं पुनस्तरुणे जने॥ न चोंकारो न मन्त्रोपि नैव बीजं न चाक्षरम् ॥ ३७॥
Confidence is seen in the elderly what to speak of the young There is no chonkara, no mantra, no seed, no syllable.
english translation
pratyayo dRzyate vRddhe kiM punastaruNe jane॥ na coMkAro na mantropi naiva bIjaM na cAkSaram ॥ 37॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअनाहतमनुच्चार्य्यं शब्दब्रह्म शिवं परम् ॥ ध्यायन्ते देवि सततं सुधिया यत्नतः प्रिये ॥ ३८ ॥
The unaffected and unpronounceable Brahman of sound is the Supreme Lord Shiva. O dear one, meditate on them constantly with intelligence and diligence.
english translation
anAhatamanuccAryyaM zabdabrahma zivaM param ॥ dhyAyante devi satataM sudhiyA yatnataH priye ॥ 38 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतस्माच्छब्दा नव प्रोक्ताः प्राणविद्भिस्तु लक्षिताः ॥ तान्प्रवक्ष्यामि यत्नेन नादसिद्धिमनुक्रमात् ॥ ३९॥
Hence the Śabdas are ninefold as explained by those who know the science of breath. I shall explain them assiduously in the proper order according to the Siddhi of Nāda.

tasmAcchabdA nava proktAH prANavidbhistu lakSitAH ॥ tAnpravakSyAmi yatnena nAdasiddhimanukramAt ॥ 39॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptघोषं १ कांस्यं २ तथा शृंगं ३ घण्टां ४ वीणा ५ दिवंशजान् ६ ॥ दुन्दुभिं ७ शंखशब्दं ८ तु नवमं मेघगर्जितम् ९ ॥ ४० ॥
They are Ghoṣa (sound of the soft consonant), Kāṃsya(sound of bell metal), Śṛṅga (sound of horn), Ghaṇṭā (bell), Vīṇā (lute), Vaṃśaja (flute), Dundubhi (drum), Śaṅkha (conch) and Meghagarjita (the rumbling thunder).
