Shiva Purana
यो निजाद्दक्षिणात्पार्श्वाद्ब्रह्माणं लोककारणम्॥ वामादप्यसृजद्विष्णुं लोकरक्षार्थमीश्वरः ॥ ६७॥
It was he who created, for the protection of the worlds, Brahmā, the cause of the worlds, from his right hand and Viṣṇu from the left hand side.

yo nijAddakSiNAtpArzvAdbrahmANaM lokakAraNam॥ vAmAdapyasRjadviSNuM lokarakSArthamIzvaraH ॥ 67॥
