भूषूणादिरुचिर्मायार्लिप्तानां ब्रह्मणो न च।। स प्रभुर्निर्गुणोऽजो निर्मायोऽलक्ष्यगतिर्विराट् ।।६६।।

sanskrit

Interest in embellishment and ornaments shall be found in those who are deluded by illusion and who are not in unison with the Brahman. The lord is devoid of attributes, unborn, free from illusion, of invisible movement and a cosmic Being.

english translation

bhUSUNAdirucirmAyArliptAnAM brahmaNo na ca|| sa prabhurnirguNo'jo nirmAyo'lakSyagatirvirAT ||66||

धर्मजात्यादिभिश्शम्भुर्नानुगृह्णाति व द्विजाः ।। गुरोरनुग्रहेणैव शिवं जानामि तत्त्वतः ।।६७।।

sanskrit

O brahmins, Śiva does not shower His blessings on the ground of faith, caste etc. I know Śiva truly only through the blessings of the preceptor.

english translation

dharmajAtyAdibhizzambhurnAnugRhNAti va dvijAH || guroranugraheNaiva zivaM jAnAmi tattvataH ||67||

चेच्छिवस्स हि मे विप्रा विवाहं न करिष्यति ।। अविवाहा सदाहं स्यां सत्यं सत्यं वदाम्यहम् ।।६८।।

sanskrit

O brahmins, if Śiva does not marry me I shall remain for ever a virgin. Truth, I tell you the truth.

english translation

उदयति यदि भानुः पश्चिमे दिग्विभागे प्रचलति यदि मेरुश्शीततां याति वह्निः ।। विकसति यदि पद्मं पर्वताग्रे शिलायां न हि चलति हठो मे सत्यमेतद्ब्रवीमि।।६९।।

sanskrit

Even if the sun were to rise in the west, even if the mountain Meru were to move; even if the fire were to be cool and even if the lotus were to bloom on a rock at the top of a mountain, my stubbornness cannot be nullified. I am telling you the truth.

english translation

udayati yadi bhAnuH pazcime digvibhAge pracalati yadi meruzzItatAM yAti vahniH || vikasati yadi padmaM parvatAgre zilAyAM na hi calati haTho me satyametadbravImi||69||

Brahmā said: After saying thus and bowing to those sages, the daughter of the mountain stopped and remembered Śiva with an unruffled mind.
