त्रिभिश्च धर्षितो बाणैस्तेन शार्ङ्गं धनुर्हरेः ।। वीरभद्रेण तत्तात त्रिधाभूत्तत्क्षणान्मुने ।। 2.2.37.४० ।।

sanskrit

O dear sage, Viṣṇu’s bow was attacked with three arrows by Vīrabhadra whereupon it split into three in a trice.

english translation

tribhizca dharSito bANaistena zArGgaM dhanurhareH || vIrabhadreNa tattAta tridhAbhUttatkSaNAnmune || 2.2.37.40 ||
